Travel grants to foster collaboration of early-career researchers & lecturers
Call for applications
The SEA-EU Project Office at Kiel University (CAU) invites applications from early-career researchers and lecturers for projects that aims to establish or strengthen research and/or teaching collaborations between SEA-EU partner universities. Travel grants to support these projects will be provided.

Are you (collaborating with) an early-career researcher / lecturer of Kiel University working on a project with the potential to strengthen research & teaching collaborations within the SEA-EU Alliance?
Then this opportunity calls for you!
Deadline for applications: 30 September 2022
Eligible projects will be led by an early-career academic staff at Kiel University and in collaboration with at least 1 academic staff of a SEA-EU partner university.
Earliest start 01 November 2022; Latest end 31 March 2023.

Conditions:
Applicants must be early-career academic staff employed at Kiel University for the whole duration of their projects.
Applicants need to implement their projects with a minimum of one researcher / lecturer from these 5 SEA-EU partner universities:
- Universidad de Cádiz
- University of Western Brittany
- University of Split
- University of Gdańsk
- University of Malta
Note 1: Projects that include more than 1 of the above-mentioned partner university, and additionally any of the new SEA-EU partners (Partenope University of Naples ; University of Algarve ; Nord University) are highly welcomed.
Note 2: CAU co-applicants are optional.

Eligible funding:
A maximum of €3000 will be awarded once-off per project.
Activities eligible for funding:
- Travel of the main applicant (CAU early-career staff) to SEA-EU Partner Universities
- Travel of SEA-EU Partner co-applicants to Kiel
- Hiring of student/research assistant(s) at CAU
Note: Special clauses and conditions for these activities can be found in the Rules of the Call.
All activities must take place no later than 31 March 2023.
Application process:
Complete and sign the Application Form and send it together with the Letter(s) of Commitment to:
Dr. Jonathan Durgadoo (jdurgadoo@uv.uni-kiel.de) until 30 September 2022.
An application submitted shall constitute an acceptance of the Rules of the Call.
