Detailed Description:

Frameworks, instruments and practices for mastering difficult conversations.

Communication is at the heart of all leadership behaviour. Even though we communicate so much in our every – day lives, it can be painfully difficult to address critical topics with clarity and compassion. Misunderstandings, tense relationships at work and even conflict can be the result of avoiding difficult conversations or addressing them in unhelpful ways. This workshop equips participants with insights into inter-and intra-personal dynamics that strongly influence communication. It also offers conversation guidelines that support people to navigate difficult conversations that produce win-win agreements. This highly interactive workshop provides lots of space and guidance for step-wise exercises that deepen the participants’ communication skills.

Learning Objectives:

  • are aware of inter- and intra-personal dynamics in communication
  • reflect on their individual communication patterns
  • practice in depth coummunication techniques (active listening, self-perception and external perception, self-empathy and empathy with others)
  • know and have practiced guidelines for navigating difficult conversations
