Action 1: Virtual event for the presentation of capacities and opportunities of the SEA-EU universities, associated members and territories, to the Blue Economy SMEs (small and medium enterprises) of the Province of Cadiz.

9.00     Inauguration

  • Two SEA-EU members present the event (20’):
    • UCA Representative (5’)
    • UG Representative (15’): capacities and opportunities from SEA-EU WP2.
  • Interventions of four representatives of the public administration (15’ each one):
    • One representative from the provincial administration of Cadiz.
    • Three representatives from Spanish public administrations related to European Projects.  (15´ each one).

10.30   Four simultaneous workshops per topic – workshops task 5.1 WP5 SEA-EU. Four topics:

Workshop 1: Naval and offshore construction and renewable marine energies (U. Gdansk).

Workshop 4: Sea-related tourism (UBO)

Researcher (UCA): Dr. Manuel Arcila Garrido,  Director of the Department of History, Geography and Philosophy.

Sustainability will be considered as a transversal matter in all four items with special focus in new opportunities and new value chains.

Every topic, every workshop is led by UCA and other SEA-EU University, according to the following scheme:

10:30. One member from UCA and another from other SEA-EU university moderates the workshops and introduces participants.

10:35. Two representatives from Spain administration and other SEA-EU administrations (10’ each). They can be agencies managing R+D+I calls.

10:55. Brief expositions (“pills”) of three researchers, three SEA-EU members and three SME. In all these presentations, there will be two representatives from UCA and one from other SEA-EU university. (10’ each)

Acion 2: Promotion of the collaboration between SEA-EU knowledge agents and economic actors of the Cadiz Province to explore the possibility of joint project proposals in the Horizon 2021-2027 Call, as well as other calls from the European Union.

With the workshop format, moderated by expert consultants in European projects, the agents who have come to align themselves in interests, opportunities or objectives will be guided and tutored to evaluate their viability as partners of European projects of diverse nature and source of origin (Horizon Europe , EASME). It is about establishing a process of technical support and knowledge so that PYMES in the province of Cádiz can internationalize in the context of the European Union and increase their possibilities of raising funds or, where appropriate, they can have a first international experience (for those who do not reach the final objective of the Workshop).
