During the morning of July 13, 2021, the session dedicated to the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) took place on the second day of the International Staff Week on inclusion and internationalization. The University of Cádiz, from the Vice-Rector’s Office for Internationalization, has organized this staff week with the participation of professionals from the universities of Bretagne Occidentale, Split, Pazmany Peter, and Applied Sciences in Nowy Sacz.
On the second day, a session dedicated to inclusion policies and activities that are being developed and designed by the SEA-EU University took place. In her presentation, the Local Manager of the Alliance at the UCA, Irene de Andrés Márquez, shared with the attendees the different lines of action that are being carried out, as well as the policies that value essential pillars such as equality, multiculturalism, or respect for human rights. The weight in the Alliance of two key working groups has been highlighted: the Working Group for the Service-Learning Center, managed by the University of Split, and the Observatory for Migration and Human Rights, managed by the University of Bretagne Occidentale. In addition, the presentation has summarized the different activities and actions implemented to facilitate inclusion in SEA-EU, such as cultural, photography, cooking, or music competitions, as well as support and language courses, or a future minimum table in terms of support for functional diversity at the University.
