Weronika, Eva and Jasmine, from the Universities of Malta and Gdansk, have spent three weeks doing archeology internships at the excavations led by Darío Bernal.

During the morning of Thursday, June 17, the Delegate of the Rector for the European University of the Mares, Fidel Echevarría, the Director of Planning of SEA-EU, Antonio Javier González, and the Local Manager of SEA-EU, Irene de Andrés, visited the archaeological complex of Baelo Claudia to say goodbye to the three SEA-EU students who have made a three-week scholarship stay to put their archeology knowledge into practice, thanks to a collaborative initiative of the Director of the excavations, Darío Bernal.
Two of the students came from the University of Malta, the other from the University of Gdansk, and all three agree that this opportunity has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience and that they recommend it to any student.
During the visit, the students explained their tasks in the excavation, highlighting the great work of Darío Bernal and the good atmosphere with the teammates.

For its part, the UCA team was showing the SEA-EU delegation the new archaeological findings and evaluating in a very positive way this first collaboration opportunity, which also represents the first SEA-EU experience in person after the pandemic.
