The course will give students basic knowledge related to genetic engineering and gene cloning design. During the one-week online course students will learn to select vectors, design restriction digestion of DNA, design PCR reaction, and control the gene expression. Each day, at the beginning the theoretical aspects will be presented, followed by hands-on experience on specialized software.

Day 1 – Introduction to gene cloning. Vectors. Restriction digestion. Day 2 – PCR reaction. Designing primers.
Day 3 – Fusion proteins, tags, etc.
Day 4 – Cloning of prokaryotic and eukaryotic genes
