SEA-EU Toolkit for the Evaluation of Online Programmes

SEA-EU Toolkit

The COVID-19 pandemic brought digital learning to the forefront of education across the globe. Educational institutions were forced to develop and deliver online programmes of study at a manner and pace that left many unprepared. Two years into the pandemic, the need for review and evaluation of developed online programmes has been highlighted. Led by academics from the University of Malta, a team of academics from six partners of the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU), the Universities of Cádiz (Spain), Western Brittany (France), Kiel (Germany), Gdańsk (Poland), Split (Croatia), and Malta, developed a user-friendly toolkit for evaluating online educational programmes. The toolkit should empower educators with variable levels of proficiency and confidence in technology and online education in assessing and evaluating the quality of online programmes. Dr Stefan Attard, Dr Michelle Camilleri, Dr Maria Cassar, Dr Ermira Tartari-Bonnici, Ms Adrienne Grech, Ms Veronica Montebello, and Dr Josef Trapani were the academics from the UM.
