TOPIC OF THE INTERSHIP
The internship will take place in the HCTI research unit at the Universty of Western Brittany in Brest. The internship will take place as part of the lab’s programme ‘Sociabilités européennes du XVIIe au XIXe siècle’, as a follow-up of the H2020 DIGITENS project which ended in December 2022 and helped develop the digital Encyclopaedia and a network of 12 European and North-American institutions working on the topic of sociability in the long eighteenth century. The main task will be the implementation of the second version (v2) of the Encyclopaedia and the coordination of 18th-century academic events organised by HCTI and the GIS- Sociabilités.
PROFILE OF THE DESIRED STUDENT
Data collection & data analytics
IT skills: proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, spreadsheets & databases, experienced user of online platforms such as Zoom, GoogleMeet etc
English (fluent), French (reading, speaking)
THE INTERNSHIP ASSIGNMENT:
Desired duration of the internship (in months): 3 to 5 months Desired Starting date of the mission: 1 October 2023 Indicative weekly schedule: 35h / week
Remuneration: 600€/month, paid on French SEA-EU funds for a maximum of 5 months; additional Erasmus grant could be asked to your own university.
Internship agreement: an internship agreement will be signed.
