Funding France 2030

EVENT DESCRIPTION

In 2020, thanks to the support of the French National Agency for Research for European Universities, the University of Brest launched an seed funding call SEA-EU Search@6 designed to initiate new collaborations with researchers across the SEA-EU Alliance. With the launch of the second phase of the project in 2022 and the arrival of three new universities, the call has been renewed and specifically aimed at creating partnerships with the newcomers (UPN, Nord, UAlg): SEA-EU Search@9.

The aim of this seed funding was to support the emergence of cooperation between researchers around the central themes of SEA-EU: (i) the ecological transition and (ii) European identity.

Search@9
The Search@9 call enabled 4 projects to be funded, covering the 2 SEA-EU themes and led by 4 different UBO research units and initiated new research partnerships with the 3 new SEA-EU universities. Rules and regulations can be found here.

SEA-EU Search Ambition
A more ambitious scheme, the SEA-EU Search Ambition Call, was launched in 2023 to support larger-scale projects, with a maximum grant of €57,000 and a commitment to respond to a European or French National Research Agency call for projects on the same theme with SEA-EU partners within three years of the start of the project. These projects are ongoing and must be completed before November 1st, 2025. 4 projects have been funded, covering the 2 SEA-EU themes, involving four different research units working on 4 different fields of research.

Rules and regulations can be found here.
