SEMINAR at NORD 8-12 December 2025: Empowering Educators for a Sustainable and Digital Future

One of the key goals of the SEA-EU project is to empower academic teachers and staff in the alliance with essential green and digital competencies for the future. This capacity-building initiative is being realized through a diverse range of courses and opportunities for experience-sharing across member universities.

Over the past few years, we’ve been working steadily toward this goal. A seminar will be held at Nord University – presenting the first set of competence-building courses, methodologies and experiences.

The seminar will address timely and impactful topics such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, that aim to equip educators with tools and insights to navigate and shape the future of higher education.

Dates: December 8-12 2025

Location: NORD University, Campus Bodø.

Preliminar program:

• Monday December 8th: Get together at 7 pm in city centre, evening snack included.
• Tuesday December 9th. 9.30 am- 4 pm Conference at main campus (approx 30 minutes bus ride from city centre). Lunch and coffee included. 7 pm Dinner in the city centre.
• Wednesday December 10th. 9.30 am- 2 pm Conference at main campus. Lunch and coffee included. 7 pm Dinner in the city centre.
• Thursday December 11th. 9.30 am- 2 Conference pm at main campus. Lunch and coffee included.
• Friday December 12th: social program from 10 am- 2 pm, visit to the Saltraumen, the strongest tidal current in the world, small hike. Lunch included. The trip starts and ends in the city centre.
