Advent at the Campus Kicks Off With Ivan Zak

Advent at the Campus of the University of Split, the most beloved Advent destination among young people, officially opened on Thursday, November 27 at 7 PM with an energetic performance by the band Engima, marking the beginning of the festive season. The cheerful atmosphere captured in the photos shows how the Campus has grown into the city’s favorite Advent spot, attracting not only students but also residents of all ages. This year’s organization is truly the best so far.

The festivities continue with the most ambitious edition yet – 23 days of program, 21 concerts, 7 Advent stalls, and an entirely refreshed and more festive space design. On November 28, the well-known Croatian singer Ivan Zak took the stage, delighting the audience and further elevating the holiday spirit on campus. His charismatic performance, strong vocals, and numerous hit songs created an unforgettable evening. The crowd sang along from start to finish, confirming once again why he remains one of the most popular pop performers in Croatia.

This year’s Advent setting has been thoughtfully designed so everyone can find their perfect place to enjoy. The party zone offers lively energy, dancing, and music, while the chill zone provides a cozy corner for warm drinks and relaxed conversations.

More than 20,000 lights, special installations, and new decorations transform the Campus into a warm, vibrant, and highly photogenic holiday scene. Seven Advent stalls offer delicious food and drinks at student-friendly prices – from classic winter favorites to creative seasonal treats.

Music once again plays a central role in Advent at the Campus. Over the 23 days, visitors can enjoy performances by Jole, Mate Bulić, Tomislav Bralić & Klapa Intrade, Hiljson Mandela, Guiano & Diktatori, Andrea Šušnjara, Matko & Brane, Josip Ivančić, Domenica, and many others.

Remaining faithful to its mission, Advent at the Campus keeps the event accessible to its core audience – entrance is free for all students and pupils, making it a perfect gathering place throughout December.

The organizers note: “Advent at the Campus grows every year, and this season we have prepared our richest program so far. We invite all citizens to join us and experience Advent at the Campus in its most magical edition yet.”
