You are invited to a lecture by filmmaker Ana Hušman, who will present a series of her films: I Won’t Come, I Love You, Ines, At the Place of the Centrifuge Come the Piano Clocks and Room for a Day. These films arise from reflections on the living-room space and the events that may have happened or may still happen there. Based on memory or assumptions, recreated through sound atmospheres, they take place within an actual space and its more or less real replicas.
The event will take place on Thursday, 6 November 2025, at 18:00, at the Fortress Gripe, Department of Film and Video, Cinema Lecture Hall, Split.
In her works, Ana Hušman dissects the structure and texture of filmic elements through different forms—film, installation, book, the record of image, sound and text. She experiments with the possibilities of animation, and combines documentary and fiction elements, voice and articulation. Her working processes question the boundaries of amateur and professional, performative and media, and the structures that shape behavioural patterns.
Ana Hušman works as a professor at the Department of New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb and for her recent work she has received numerous domestic and international awards.
