The summer music series “Sulle note del mare” returned once again this year to Villa Doria d’Angri, promoted by the University of Naples Parthenope in collaboration with the Ravello Foundation and the Fondazione Banco di Napoli, with the support of numerous local entrepreneurs.
The programme forms part of the wider project “La musica UNIsce”, an initiative designed to strengthen ties between the University and its students, civil society, the business community and the third sector. The project aims to contribute actively to the social and cultural development of the local area through shared cultural experiences.
“We have now reached the third edition,” said Rector Antonio Garofalo in his opening address. “We bring the same energy and passion we had when we started three years ago, fully aware of the major responsibility that educational and cultural institutions have in supporting the growth of the communities in which they operate.”
The opening concert featured singer-songwriter Sergio Cammariere, who captivated the audience with an intimate performance accompanied by piano.
The summer series unfolded throughout June at Villa Doria d’Angri, with five evening events on the programme: Enzo Gragnaniello in Veleno, Mare e Ammore; the female choir of the Teatro di San Carlo in Silenzi e voci; a concert by Walter Ricci; and Maurizio De Giovanni in L’antico Amore.
The series concluded in September at the Fondazione Banco di Napoli, with a performance by Ebbanesis in Transleit 2.0.
