Cadiz hosts a Staffweek about internationalisation of researchers and lecturers in SEA-EU

The University of Cadiz is hosting on February 1st and 2nd, 2024, a Staffweek dedicated to the internationalisation of researchers and lecturers within the SEA-EU Alliance through the Erasmus+ programme.

More than 50 attendees from 6 different universities gathered to delve into the essential topic of collaboration and co-creation during the event. The agenda promised insightful sessions, including an opening by Marcela Iglesias, Vice-Rector of Internationalisation at UCA, and Fidel Echevarría, General Coordinator of the SEA-EU Alliance. The first day featured discussions on good partnership practices, experiences of the SEA-EU Alliance, and insights from notable speakers like Laura Howard and Ida Charlotte Jakobsen.

The afternoon session focused in Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPS) as a tool for the internationalisation of lecturers and researchers, with presentations and a panel discussion by experts from various universities within the SEA-EU Alliance.

The second day began with the presence of the Rector of the University of Cadiz, Casimiro Mantell, who delivered a welcome speech congratulating the team for the successful event. In his address, Mantell highlighted, “In three weeks that I had been Rector, this was my second SEA-EU event, underscoring the strategic role SEA-EU plays for me and my team.” The focus of the day shifted towards Erasmus-related discussions, fostering an in-depth exploration of this crucial aspect of internationalization. The event provided a comprehensive platform for fruitful discussions and collaborative efforts among the participating institutions.
