Kiel University has launched a seed fund to facilitate research collaborations between Kiel and SEA-EU partner universities. Researchers of all disciplines based at Kiel University may apply for up to 5000 Euro to strengthen or establish links with collaboration partners. Activities covered by the funding include travel for exchange, joint workshops/summer schools or a secondment/internship at a SEA-EU partner.
“With SEA-EU, researchers have a great opportunity to tap into a network of universities and collaboration partners for exchange and joint research. We hope that this seed funding opportunity will help early-career researchers in particular to gain their first international experience and to expand their networks” says Linda Piálek, head of EU and international grants office at Kiel University.
Projects must be led by a researcher based at Kiel University together with a collaboration partner from at least one other SEA-EU university. Funded projects must be carried out between 1 October 2024 and 31 March 2025. Deadline for submissions is 23 August 2024.
The seed funding available at Kiel University is part of an Alliance-wide initiative to encourage research exchange and collaboration by which each partner will set up local funding programs.
