This internship project is linked to a line of research on the political economy of structural change. It focuses on how coastal areas have adapted to the economic shocks resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, resisting, recovering and transforming for coping with this disruptive event. The theoretical-methodological approach is pluralistic, mixing a variety of frameworks and tools to produce relevant knowledge for understanding the regions’ structural change and resilience. Particular attention will be paid to coastal territories, especially those highly representative of key maritime cluster activities, such as port industry, coastal tourism, or fisheries and aquaculture.
