Interested in learning how to make democracy come alive in university courses while developing
real solutions to real problems in public life?
Teaching Social Action is an approach that has been tried and tested in the US and England for two decades. Using community organizing
methods, students are empowered to carry out real public actions over the course of the semester.
Andreas Richter (German Institute for Community Organizing – DICO) presents the approach,
reports on his initial experiences in Germany, and introduces ways to introduce TSA at your
university.
