Research on computer science education, in particular focussing on secondary schools or K12 in general. The research group focuses on empirical research, both qualitative and quantitative.

About us:

We focus on empirical research in (K12) computer science education, especially education on programming and AI.
We are an english speaking research group that is also part of the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education (IPN).

 

Skills to be acquired or developed:

- Conducting empirical studies, analyzing empirical data.
- Developing / piloting assessments or instruments.
- Publishing results of empirical educational research

We can provide mentorship and access to the training and networking opportunities at IPN.
Joint publications or project proposals are also possible.

We expect:

Some background in educational research / computer science education.
