The Cities of Brest and Kiel are seeking young volunteers for the Franco-German Territorial Volunteer Program from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026. Volunteers will support twinning projects, assist in organizing events, and work with the President’s Office in Kiel, focusing on sustainable development and international relations. The program offers language courses, training, financial support, and mentoring. Applications are due by April 18, 2025.

Tasks and duties entrusted to the student:

Missions in Kiel

  • Collaboration with the volunteer in Brest on current twinning affairs: supporting twinning projects and engaging with young audiences.
  • Assisting in organizing the exchange of staff between Brest and Kiel.
  • Assignment to the Franco-German Society of Kiel: participating in organizing activities related to France and coordinating with the Office of the President of the City.
  • Observing and supporting the work of colleagues from the President's Office, including in the fields of sustainable development and citizen engagement (e.g., assisting in event organization).
  • Participating in organizing the Franco-German Day with the counterpart in Brest.
