The Copernicus European Regional ReAnalysis (CERRA) data sets provide spatially and temporally consistent historical reconstructions of meteorological variables in the atmosphere and at the surface on single levels for Europe from 1984 to the present, with a spatial resolution of 5.5 x 5.5 km. The data will be used to determine under which synoptic and wind conditions electricity generation in wind farms is highest. Power generation in wind farms will be assessed using publicly available datasets, such as the one available at https://windeurope.org/.
