University of Algarve Announces Call for 20 SEA-EU Joint PhD Scholarships

The University of Algarve (UAlg) is pleased to announce the opening of a competitive call for 20 doctoral scholarships aimed at supporting research activities leading to the award of a PhD degree under joint supervision (cotutelle) with at least one of the partner universities of the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) Alliance.

The scholarships are available in the fields of Science and Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Economics, and Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

This initiative is launched within the framework of the SEA-EU Alliance and in accordance with the Research Fellowship Regulations of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Research Fellowship Holder Statute. The scholarships will be funded by FCT.

To strengthen international cooperation in research and education within the SEA-EU framework, candidates from SEA-EU external partner universities, particularly those located in developing countries, are encouraged to apply and will receive a bonus of 1,000 points in Criterion A – Candidate’s Merit.
