The workshop “Marine Contours” sets out to discuss the interrelation of outline and sea in a wide range of perspectives. It will address figurative representations of the sea in various media as well as more abstract relationships between the sea and specific materials representing it. Other areas of interest are actual limits of the sea such as littoral spaces and harbours, and their significance in art and its history.
