World Autism Awareness Day, “Shaping Dreams” conference at Parthenope University of Naples

On the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day, the conference entitled “Shaping Dreams: Inclusion, Empowerment and Shared Successes” was held at Parthenope University on April 2, 2025. The conference was aimed at spreading awareness about social and labor inclusion of people on the autism spectrum, showcasing their achievements and successes in all fields, including in sports.

The event was part of the activity plan of the Committee for Equal Opportunities of Parthenope University. It was organised with the support of “Parthenope Unita” student association, together with external associations such as “incontriAMOci strada facendo,” “i Monacielli,” “AUTISM AID ETS,” and “il Tulipano.”

The Rector of Parthenope University, Prof. Antonio Garofalo, kicked off the conference, followed by Prof. Maria Ferrara, President of Parthenope’s Committee for Equal Opportunities. The debate featured speeches about removing barriers and building opportunities for all delivered by many experts. Among them, the Psychologist and psychodiagnostics Amalia Conte, the Professor of Didactics and Pedagogy Claudia Maulini and the President of the Sports Association “Accademia del Remo e dello Sport” Giuseppe Del Gaudio. A final Q&A session was also held to let the audience ask questions to the speakers and share perspectives.
