Language Courses
Dive into the multilingual world of SEA-EU, where over 90% of students bring English skills, and nearly half are familiar with Spanish, French, and German. While Polish and Croatian expand our linguistic horizons, we’re enhancing language learning opportunities across the alliance. Following the addition of new partners in 2022, Italian, Norwegian and Portuguese were added to our pool of languages. With courses in national languages and specialised programs, we’re committed to broadening linguistic competencies, embracing Croatian, French, German, Maltese, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Norwegian, Italian and English, enriching our community’s global communication and cultural understanding.
Virtual Tandem Language Exchange
The SEA-EU Virtual Tandem Language Exchange is a program that pairs participants with native or near-native speakers for one-on-one language practice, enhancing speaking and listening skills.

Virtual Language Courses
The SEA-EU Virtual Language Courses is an activity based on the principle of reciprocity. Below, we list courses offered by each SEA-EU partner university to participants from other partner universities.
We strengthen our alliance by coordinating and maintaining an up-to-date list of language courses. Thereby, SEA-EU students and staff can obtain centrally all the information needed for enrolment into these online courses. The list is updated regularly as new courses become available.
Conditions of enrolment:
- The course offers are meant for SEA-EU Alliance Universities’ students and staff: Registration is only considered if made with a valid institutional email address.
- No ECTS credits will be awarded.
- A certificate of participation will be issued, upon attendance to >75% of the course.
- An evaluation of the course by participants is appreciated at the end.
- Registration is binding.
- No guaranteed spots.
We strongly encourage participants to self-assess their current language skills and check the course content description and/or learning outcomes of each course prior to registration.
New Virtual Language Courses
English Skills for Administrative Staff
The Language Centre (CLA) of Parthenope University offers a short-term advanced training course in English Skills for Administrative Staff. This intensive course is designed for administrative staff seeking to develop proper workplace communication skills, providing them with transversal written and oral abilities in professional English. Designed around the CEFR A2 level, this course focuses on developing the four core language skills. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of key written and spoken genres in professional English, such as business reports, emails, telephone conversations, and various workplace scenarios. Additionally, the course introduces some effective learning strategies to boost vocabulary acquisition and improve reading comprehension. The course comprises 6 online lectures and a final online test. To qualify for this examination, students must demonstrate regular and active participation/attendance (those who miss more than two classes will not be eligible to take the final test).
Target group: Administrative Staff
Prerequisite: A2 level in English

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- recognise the structure of business conversations, presentations and written messages
- recognise paralinguistic features of communication
- use appropriate words to convey information, thoughts and ideas clearly and precisely, in the work environment as well as in their personal lives
- select language and body language appropriate to the target group and situation
- base their communication behaviour on the principles of honesty and authenticity
- practise clarity in verbal and non-verbal communication, share information openly and thus avoid misunderstandings.
Additional details: Technical Requirements: Laptop/PC with a stable Internet connection, a camera and a microphone.
Lessons will be held via Microsoft Teams.
Total workload: 18 hours – 6 lessons (2 hours each) + 1 hour of asynchronous activities per lesson

Lesson 6: 27 November 2026 – “Transversal Skills: How to Improve your Speaking and Writing Skills. Oral Professional Communication.” + 60 minutes of self-learning activities
Career Skills Workshop in German: Effektives Bewerben und Networken mit LinkedIn
Target group: All SEA-EU students and alumni (max. 1 year after graduation) interested in working in Germany.
Prerequisites: The course is in German. A good command of German at C1 level is required to take part. The information and seminar content relate to the German labour market.

English Conversation
SEA-EU invites you to take part in the English Conversation sessions, an online space to practise spoken English in a friendly setting. There are two sessions, on 22 October and 23 November, so you can join whichever suits you. Talk about everyday and academic topics and build your fluency with other participants.
