Parthenope University of Naples hosted the SEA-EU Staff Week titled “Towards Sustainable Education: Developing and Managing Microcredentials”

From 15 to 17 October 2025, Parthenope University of Naples hosted the SEA-EU Staff Week titled “Towards Sustainable Education: Developing and Managing Microcredentials”, welcoming academic and administrative staff from the SEA-EU Alliance to discuss the dynamic features of microcredentials in European higher education.
 
The initiative was coordinated by Professor Stefania Corsaro and Professor Silvio Del Pizzo, and featured a dynamic programme of presentations,   workshops, and collaborative sessions. The opening day focused on the current state of microcredentials across the Alliance, with contributions from representatives of each partner university.
A highlight of the event was the interdisciplinary workshop “Building Sustainable Futures: Economic, Scientific and Life Perspectives”, which brought together several Parthenope scholars to explore sustainability from multiple perspectives.
 
The programme also included practical sessions on designing microcredential courses and strategies to engage faculty in this innovative format. The Staff Week fostered a collaborative environment, reinforcing the SEA-EU Alliance’s dedication to building a more flexible, inclusive, and sustainable European Higher Education Area.
 
The contributors were Prof. Pier Paolo Franzese, Giuseppe La Ragione, Francesca Battaglia, Massimiliano Cerciello, Emmanuel Caiazzo, Raffaella Antinucci, Pasquale Marcello Falcone, and Dr. Lucia Alessi, whose insights reflected the university’s commitment to integrating sustainability into education and research.
