PhD Research Scholarships at the University of Algarve under SEA-EU Alliance

The European University of the Seas Alliance (SEA-EU) is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for aspiring researchers. The University of Algarve (UAlg), a proud member of the SEA-EU Alliance, invites applications for **PhD Research Scholarships** in four diverse fields of study. These scholarships offer an exceptional chance to be part of a collaborative and international research environment under a co-tutelle agreement, ensuring joint supervision with at least one other university within the SEA-EU Alliance.

Scholarship Fields:

The University of Algarve is offering 8 PhD Research Scholarships in the following disciplines:

– Science and Technology

– Economics

– Humanities and Social Sciences

– Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

These scholarships are integral to the SEA-EU 2.0 action, a prestigious initiative under the Erasmus+ Programme (Partnerships for Excellence GA 101089757). They are designed to foster deep and diversified research activities between UAlg and SEA-EU universities, enhancing academic collaboration and increasing talent attraction from outside Europe.

Scholarship Details:

– Stipend: €1,259.64 per month (Annual fee is not included)

– Duration: Annual, renewable up to three years (36 months), contingent on co-supervisors’ feedback

– Co-tutelle Agreement: Mandatory joint supervision with another SEA-EU university, to be signed within the first year of the scholarship

Application Period:

– Opening Date: August 26, 2024, 5:00 PM (Lisbon time)

– Closing Date: September 16, 2024, 5:00 PM (Lisbon time)

Important Note: Each candidate may submit only one application. Multiple submissions will lead to disqualification. Applications containing false information or plagiarism will be immediately disqualified.
