Kiel University is offering up to 5000 Euro for projects that facilitate research collaboration between Kiel and SEA-EU partner universities. Researchers from all disciplines, particularly early-career researchers based at Kiel University are encouraged to apply for funding from the SEA-EU Seed Fund until the 28 February. Projects must be led by a researcher based at Kiel University together with a collaboration partner from at least one other SEA-EU university. Projects must have a tangible expected outcome such as a joint workshop or summer schools, or a secondment/internship at a SEA-EU partner. Eligible expenses include travel costs, publication fees that contribute to the project’s objectives. Funded projects must be carried out between 1 April 2026 and 31 October 2026.

The seed funding available at Kiel University is part of an Alliance-wide initiative to encourage research exchange and collaboration by which each partner will set up local funding programs.
