SEA-EU took part last week in the annual conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), the largest European meeting on higher education internationalisation, which gathered thousands of representatives from institutions worldwide in Gothenburg.
SEA-EU played a prominent role throughout the event, with more than 30 representatives from its nine partner universities actively engaged in a wide range of activities. The Alliance’s agenda focused on reinforcing international collaborations, updating agreements with strategic partners, and promoting SEA-EU joint initiatives such as the recently launched Joint Programmes.
At the heart of EAIE’s exhibition area, the SEA-EU stand, located within the European Commission’s dedicated space, served as a dynamic hub for dialogue, networking, and visibility. Delegates held institutional meetings with other European University Alliances, with representatives of partner universities such as the Rector of the University of Split, and with the Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education (SEPIE), addressing key topics such as international student recruitment strategies.
Through its strong presence at EAIE 2025, SEA-EU further consolidated its role as a pioneering European Universities Alliance, reinforcing its commitment to internationalisation, collaboration, and the creation of a truly transnational European campus.
