Call for proposals for latest round of Student-led Projects initiative

Up to 4000 Euros available for collaborative projects that aim to shape the future of university and campus life.

For the third year running, SEA-EU is offering up to 4000 Euros for innovative project ideas that bring a fresh perspective to social, green and digital aspects of university life. Curious? Join one of the information webinars to learn more about the initiative, identify potential collaboration partners and brainstorm project ideas.

Giovanna Putortì, call coordinator and head of the Department for Quality Development in Higher Education at Kiel University said “We encourage all those interested in the initiative to join our introductory webinars. They are a great way for students to build the connections needed for the projects, as well to get advice and support about how to shape ideas into project proposals.”

Projects must include at least two student participants located at different SEA-EU partner universities. The call officially opens at the beginning of December; deadline for project submission is the beginning of February 2026. Funded projects will run from mid-March to November 2026. Project partners will present their final results towards the end of 2026.

Following on from two years’ worth of inspiring and inspired projects, Putortì highlights some of the benefits of the initiative: “The past two years have shown that there is a vast resource of untapped ideas and perspectives out there that we can all benefit from. For the students themselves, this is a unique chance to have their say about the present and future of education in Europe, while also developing skills, insights and mindsets that will remain far beyond the timeline of this initiative.”
