Last Friday, the Observatory of Migration and Human Rights participated in the Being SEA-EU Conference. The Observatory’s presentation brought together experts, policymakers, and academics to engage in depth discussions on migration trends, challenges, and opportunities.
During the conference, the Observatory members highlighted the growing significance of migration in shaping social, economic and cultural landscapes. The Observatory emphasized that migration is not only a matter of policy but also a key driver of innovation, workforce development, and intercultural exchange. This presentation underscored the importance of data-driven insights to inform effective migration policies and foster inclusive societies.
The Observatory’s involvement in Being SEA-EU reflects its ongoing commitment to contributing to meaningful dialogue on migration, advocating for evidence-based strategies, and reinforcing the crucial role of research in shaping informed public policies.
Lorena Calvo took part in the event as the coordinator of Line 1, Migration, Refugees, Borders and Human Rights. In her role, she contributed to the discussions by sharing insights from the Observatory’s ongoing work in this field.
