Workshop: Open Science Capacity Building – Finding Solutions

EVENT DESCRIPTION

We invite you to a collaborative workshop in Hamburg to strengthen Open Science (OS) capacity across partner universities—specifically where OS meets new possibilities such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). Using the Open Science Learning GATE (GATE)—a community-based infrastructure for evidence-informed capacity building—participants will turn shared data into practical action.

Ahead of the event, SEA-EU partners will contribute perspectives on OS and AI via GATE. During the workshop, we will collectively interpret these data to surface training needs and common challenges. Together, we will further develop the SEA-EU Capacity-Building Roadmap with concrete, community-owned actions to embed OS standards and practices in training and institutional policies across the alliance. We will discuss our outcomes with funders from the SEA EU Alliance countries. The outcomes will lay the groundwork for a longer-term, supported programme and inform the SEA-EU community and others on effective approaches to OS capacity building.
