Student-Led Projects
Be a change-maker!
The Student-Led Projects Initiative fosters student collaboration across the Alliance. Once a year funds are made available for student teams to explore and develop their ideas about how to improve university and campus life. Throughout the project – from brainstorming ideas, identifying partners, managing adminstrative and financial matters – experts and university staff are available for advice and support. What idea do you want to explore?!
About
Every year, SEA-EU offers student teams 3000-4000 Euro to explore innovative project ideas that bring a fresh perspective to social, green and digital aspects of university life. Generally projects must include at least two student participants located at different SEA-EU partner universities, encouraging cross-alliance collaboration and communication.
"There is a vast resource of untapped ideas and perspectives out there that we can all benefit from. For the students themselves, this is a unique chance to have their say about the present and future of education in Europe, while also developing skills, insights and mindsets that will remain far beyond the timeline of this initiative.”
Giovanna Putortì, call coordinator and head of the Department for Quality Development in Higher Education at Kiel University
The initiative encourages students to find solutions that address societal challenges around topics central to SEA-EU such as inclusion and diversity, digitalisation, sustainability, and social entrepreneurship. Funds can be used to create materials, pay for travel costs, or publication fees.
