Staff Week of the Observatory of Migration and Human Rights to Be Held in Split, Croatia

The Observatory of Migration and Human Rights of the SEA-EU Alliance will hold its upcoming Staff Week in Split, Croatia, from 21 to 23 January. This event will bring together academics, researchers and institutional staff from different SEA-EU partner universities, consolidating the Observatory as a key space for dialogue, cooperation and knowledge exchange at European level.

The Staff Week will feature the participation of experts in migration and human rights from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, who will contribute their academic and professional perspectives on some of the most pressing global challenges related to human mobility and the protection of fundamental rights. Through a diverse programme of sessions, participants will have the opportunity to share research findings, discuss methodological approaches and explore new avenues for future collaboration.

Designed as an open and dynamic forum, the Staff Week will provide a dedicated space for debate, reflection and mutual learning, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and the exchange of best practices among institutions. Particular attention will be given to strengthening cooperation within the Observatory, aligning strategic priorities and fostering joint initiatives that contribute to academic excellence and social impact.

Beyond its academic dimension, the Staff Week in Split will also promote intercultural exchange and networking among participants, reinforcing personal and professional connections within the SEA-EU Alliance. In addition, the event will welcome representatives from other European university alliances, such as EUNIcoast, whose participation will further enrich discussions, encourage inter-alliance dialogue and foster the exchange of best practices across networks. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the event aims to further consolidate the role of the Observatory of Migration and Human Rights as a reference point for research, dialogue and institutional cooperation in this field.
