This interdisciplinary Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) invites students to explore how storytelling, children’s literature, filmmaking, art, and indigenous knowledge can be used to translate global sustainability challenges into meaningful personal and collective action. Participants will engage critically with themes such as climate change, ocean protection, environmental justice, migration and refugees, war and conflict, poverty, and Indigenous perspectives, particularly Sámi perspectives. Drawing on the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), students will develop reflective and creative responses to complex societal challenges. Through online preparation, collaborative learning, keynote lectures, workshops, place-based learning experiences, and a hands-on film production project, students will work in international teams to create short films that communicate narratives of hope, responsibility and action. The programme culminates in a film showcase and reflection session where participants present their work and receive feedback from staff and peers.
