The University of Split invites you to the opening of the exhibition by Tihomir Bašić, “The Magic of the Glass Cube”, which will take place on Wednesday, 18 March 2026 at 7:30 PM at the University Gallery, Ruđera Boškovića 31, Split.
The exhibition presents a small retrospective of the artistic work of one of Split’s distinguished painters, who has been developing a distinctive visual expression for more than six decades. Through a selection of works, visitors will have the opportunity to explore key motifs and cycles that define Bašić’s oeuvre—from the exploration of light, structure, and space to the specific poetics of crystalline forms that appear in his work as a reflection on reality and the artist’s inner world.
The exhibition will be presented in the presence of the artist by curator Dr Tonći Šitin. In addition to Tihomir Bašić, his students from the Art Club will also exhibit, giving the exhibition an additional dimension of intergenerational dialogue and the transmission of artistic experience.
The exhibition will remain open until 30 March 2026.
