Festgħana fil-Lokal (fl-Università) was held at the University of Malta’s Quadrangle as part of the wider Festgħana festival. The event was jointly organised by the University of Malta’s Conferences & Events Unit, Festivals Malta, and RIDT.
The activity celebrated Maltese cultural heritage, with a particular focus on għana, featuring live performances by traditional għannejja and guitarists. The Quadrangle was also decorated with seasonal floral arrangements, creating a festive cultural atmosphere on campus.
The event provided an opportunity for students, staff, and visitors to engage with Maltese traditions in an academic setting, promoting local cultural expression and community engagement. It formed the final lunchtime cultural initiative for the academic year.
