BIP: Transformative Competencies for a Sustainable and Secure Future (SEA-EU Co-Creation Lab: Co-Creating a Future-Ready Micro-Credential)

The SEA-EU Co-Creation Lab is a Blended Intensive Programme bringing together academic staff from SEA-EU universities to collaboratively develop an interdisciplinary micro-credential on “Transformative Competencies for a Sustainable and Secure Future.”

The programme will focus on sustainability, resilience, security, futures literacy and societal transformation through co-creation, peer learning and collaborative curriculum design.

The University of Malta is hosting this Blended Intensive Programme in collaboration with Kiel University and the University of Split.

The opportunity is open to academic staff, educational designers, researchers and programme developers interested in sustainability, resilience, futures literacy, security, interdisciplinary teaching, curriculum innovation or micro-credential development.

Applicants should have English proficiency at B1 level or above and be willing to actively contribute to the co-creation process.

Each SEA-EU university may nominate up to 4 academic staff members.

 

Important Dates of the BIP

  • 14–18 December 2026, Physical Component (University of Malta)
  •  25  November between 10.00 p.m. and 12.00 p.m. A virtual preparation session will also take place prior to the physical mobility.

 

Key Deadline

  • Nominations deadline: 11 September 2026
  • Confirmation of acceptance: 18 September 2026

 

Erasmus+ Mobility

The mobility is eligible for Erasmus+ funding. Interested staff should contact their home university for information regarding mobility funding and the application procedure.

 

How to Apply

Staff interested in participating should apply through their home university according to its internal procedure. Direct applications to the hosting institution will not be considered.
