Digital Internship: SEA-EU Multilingual Communication & Engagement

6 - 8 hours per week of individual project work plus 1–2 hours for online meetings, feedback sessions and self-reflection.

Scientific Context

Multilingualism is a core pillar of SEA-EU, yet in practice it remains underutilised in communication and engagement. Ensuring that alliance activities are accessible across languages is key to participation, visibility, and inclusiveness.

Objective of the Internship

To contribute to making SEA-EU communication more accessible and engaging across languages, with a focus on practical multilingual dissemination and participation.

What you will work on

  • Support the communication of multilingual initiatives (e.g. language cafés, exchanges, virtual activities)
  • Contribute to adapting selected SEA-EU content for different audiences and linguistic contexts
  • Develop simple multilingual communication formats (not translations for the sake of it, but usable content)
  • Identify gaps in how multilingual activities are currently communicated and propose improvements
  • Contribute to increasing engagement with language-related initiatives across the alliance

Expected Output

  • A set of multilingual communication materials or formats
  • A short practical note on improving multilingual engagement within SEA-EU

    Entry requirements:

    • Enrolment at a SEA-EU partner university (Bachelor or Master level)
    • Strong interest in multilingual communication, intercultural engagement, or language accessibility
    • Proficiency in at least two languages (English plus any other language spoken within the SEA-EU alliance)
    • Basic skills in writing or content creation in more than one language are an advantage
    • Good command of English (spoken and written)
    • Reliable internet connection and ability to work in a remote, self-organised way

    Friday 26th June

Upon successful completion of the internship, the student will be awarded a letter of completion. Recognition of the internship is subject to the university’s internal policies.
