The SEA-EU alliance proudly announces the launch of STORM, a Joint Master Degree designed to develop expertise in sustainability transition and resilience management. This innovative programme, starting in September 2025, prepares future managers to address environmental and organisational challenges with strategic knowledge and adaptability.
An International Collaboration
Developed collaboratively by six universities within the SEA-EU alliance: University of Brest (France), University of Malta (Malta), University of Cadiz (Spain), University of Split (Croatia), University of Gdansk (Poland), and Nord University (Norway); the programme offers an interdisciplinary approach to equip students with advanced expertise in sustainability, strategic management, and resilience.
By drawing inspiration from the resilience of maritime ecosystems, STORM redefines the way organisations approach sustainability. The curriculum helps students understand complex sustainability challenges and provides them with the skills to drive positive changes in businesses and institutions globally.
An Innovative Learning Experience
STORM is a two-year programme (120 ECTS) taught entirely in English. Participants will be immersed in diverse learning environments, gaining theoretical knowledge and also applying their skills in a hands-on final internship or research project.
The programme emphasises:
Strategic approaches to sustainability and resilience
Adaptation to environmental and economic changes
Experiential learning and interdisciplinary collaboration
Global perspectives on sustainability challenges
Through mobility across SEA-EU institutions, participants will engage with diverse academic environments and gain valuable international experience.
A Multinational Academic Journey
As a Joint Master, STORM enables students to study in at least two SEA-EU universities. This transnational structure enriches learning experiences and broadens professional networks.
The inaugural cohort will commence studies at the University of Brest (France) in September 2025, with subsequent study periods at partner institutions across Europe.
A Commitment to Excellence in Sustainability Leadership
Through its innovative curriculum and international approach, STORM represents a significant step forward in the education of sustainability-focused leaders. By preparing a new generation of managers capable of navigating complex sustainability transitions, the programme contributes to a more resilient and environmentally conscious global landscape.
