SEA-EU Film Festival 2025 – Announcement of the Winner and Official Selection

The SEA-EU Film Festival continues to celebrate creativity and the artistic spirit of students across the SEA-EU Alliance.

We are proud to announce that the winning film of the SEA-EU Film Festival 2025 edition is Purring Memories by Beatriz Puga (University of Algarve)!

In addition to the winner, this year’s festival will showcase a diverse and engaging Official Selection of student films from SEA-EU partner universities and beyond:

  • Piano Lessons by Alice Boffelli (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano)

  • Aftertaste by Emilia Czajewska (University of Gdańsk)
  • 52hz by Diana Rodrigues (University of Algarve)
  • Memories in Motion by Alexandre Martins & Ana Gavina (University of Algarve)
  • Expedition Whale Sonic by Florian Stefan Schmid (University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna)
  • Oblivium: The Manifesto by Valdemir Neto (University of Algarve)
  • High Heels by Jaqueline Dulce Moreira (University of Algarve)
  • Rostos da ESEC by Josué Guedes (University of Algarve)
  • Onirismo 25 by Morgana Formosinho (University of Algarve)

The second edition of the SEA-EU Film Festival will take place on October 29, 2025, starting at 9:45, at the University of Algarve’s Penha Campus, following the successful first edition hosted by the University of Split.

We look forward to celebrating the creativity of SEA-EU students and sharing their inspiring stories on screen in Faro.
