Plastamination national Italian conference

The second edition of Plastamination, the national conference promoted by four Italian universities, has now drawn to a close after three days of in-depth discussion focused on plastic contamination, including biodegradable and conventional plastics, microplastics and nanoplastics.

The programme brought together scientific research, dialogue with companies and local stakeholders, meetings with professional bodies, and the presentation of work by students and early-career researchers, across three thematic scientific sessions dedicated to environment, health and management.

For the University of Naples Parthenope, the conference was promoted by Professor Rosaria Meccariello, who was also entrusted with the concluding remarks and the award ceremony. On this occasion, the prize for Best Poster was presented to PhD candidate Rossana Romano, supervised by Professor Simoniello.
