Pathenope University Language Centre (CLA) hosted “TOMBOLA! First International Edition”, a lively event that took place at the CLA headquarters in Via Acton on 16 December 2025. The initiative brought together international students and members of the Steering Committee for a festive gathering to exchange seasonal greetings.
The Neapolitan tombola is a traditional Christmas game, similar to bingo, deeply rooted in Naples’ popular culture. Players mark numbers from 1 to 90 on their cards, with each number often linked to symbolic meanings according to the Smorfia napoletana, and the winner is the first to complete the required combinations.
The afternoon was filled with laughter, surprises and a strong multicultural spirit, as students from all over the world and members of the academic staff enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere together. Between moments of celebration and conviviality, participants also took home a wide range of prizes, making the event both joyful and memorable.
Conceived as a welcome break from exams, the initiative offered a warm and inclusive opportunity to celebrate the holiday season and strengthen the sense of international community within the University.
