Open Science has become a key framework for improving transparency, reproducibility, and accessibility in academic research. This short course provides an introductory and practical overview of the principles, policies, and tools that support the implementation of Open Science practices in higher education and research contexts. The session will present essential concepts related to open access, research data management, data integrity, data quality, and the use of repositories and infrastructures for sharing scientific outputs, supported by brief examples and simple guided activities. The course will also introduce basic approaches to data cleaning, curation, and structured data management, together with an overview of free and open-source software tools that can support research and academic workflows.
