Giovedì Gras Cultural Tour at Teatru Manoel took place on 12 February 2026 at Teatru Manoel in Valletta. The activity was organised for University of Malta staff and students as part of the Carnival season cultural programme.
Participants were guided through the historic theatre by Jeremy Grech, who provided insights into the building’s history, artistic heritage, and its connection to Maltese cultural traditions. The tour highlighted the relationship between Carnival, performance, and theatre, showcasing the role of Teatru Manoel as a key cultural landmark in Malta.
The visit offered an immersive cultural experience combining history, storytelling, and festive traditions associated with Carnival, reinforcing the theatre’s significance within Malta’s performing arts heritage.
