The University of Cádiz, coordinator of the SEA-EU Alliance, will lead SEAGROW-EDL, a new Erasmus+ Forward-Looking Project awarded nearly €800,000 to support the future implementation of the European Degree Label (EDL).
The project brings together universities and quality assurance agencies from eight European countries to develop practical tools and procedures that will help higher education institutions implement and accredit joint European degrees under the European Approach framework.
Building on SEA-EU’s extensive experience in developing joint bachelor’s and master’s programmes, the Alliance will serve as a key testing environment for the project. SEAGROW-EDL will also involve partners from the NEOLAiA alliance, ensuring that the results are transferable across different European university ecosystems.
Over the next 24 months, the consortium will develop a common regulatory convergence framework, a transferable European Degree Label accreditation toolkit and digital self-assessment tools to help institutions prepare for the future implementation of the label.
The project received an outstanding 91/100 evaluation score, highlighting both the quality of the proposal and the strength of the international consortium.
Through SEAGROW-EDL, SEA-EU continues to contribute to shaping the future of European higher education and advancing innovative models for joint European degrees.
