For the second year running, Kiel University is offering up to 5000 Euro for projects that facilitate research collaboration between Kiel and SEA-EU partner universities. Researchers, particularly early-career researchers, from all disciplines based at Kiel University are encouraged to apply for funding from the SEA-EU Seed Fund until the 31 May. Activities covered include travel for exchange, joint workshops/summer schools or a secondment/internship at a SEA-EU partner. Projects must be led by a researcher based at Kiel University together with a collaboration partner from at least one other SEA-EU university. Funded projects must be carried out between 1 September 2025 and 28 February 2026.

The seed funding available at Kiel University is part of an Alliance-wide initiative to encourage research exchange and collaboration by which each partner will set up local funding programs.
