During the month of February, the University of Algarve promoted a new edition of the “10 Minutes SEA-EU” initiative, aimed at undergraduate students (1st and 2nd year) from different scientific areas.
The sessions took place in a classroom setting and had as their main objective to introduce the European University of the Seas Alliance (SEA-EU) and the various academic and international mobility opportunities available to UAlg students.
In total, this edition of the initiative reached 1,575 undergraduate students from the different schools and faculties of the University of Algarve, reinforcing the impact of this outreach action within the student community.
During the presentations, several key aspects of the SEA-EU Alliance were addressed, namely:
An introduction to SEA-EU, highlighting its mission to promote academic, scientific and institutional cooperation among partner universities;
A presentation of the opportunities available to students, including physical and virtual mobilities, language courses, micro-credentials, Blended Intensive Programmes, joint programmes, competitions and other initiatives that contribute to enriching students’ academic and international experience.
The initiative was delivered by the SEA-EU Office of the University of Algarve, in collaboration with the International Relations and Mobility Office (GRIM).
Through this action, UAlg aims to bring the SEA-EU Alliance closer to students from the early stages of their academic journey, encouraging their active participation in the opportunities offered by the European University.
Following the success of this edition, there are also plans to extend the initiative to other study cycles in the future, further reinforcing the goal of making SEA-EU increasingly close to the entire academic community of the University of Algarve.
